Plácido Rodriguez

Plácido Rodríguez, CMF ( born October 11, 1940 in Celaya ) is a bishop of Lubbock.

Life

Plácido Rodriguez joined the Congregation of the Claretians and received on 23 May 1968, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 18 October 1983, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago and titular bishop of Fuerteventura. The archbishop of Chicago, Joseph Louis Cardinal Bernardin, donated to him on 13 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Auxiliary Bishops Alfred Leo Abramowicz and Nevin William O. Carm Hayes, from Chicago.

On 5 April 1994 he was appointed Bishop of Lubbock and introduced into the office on 1 June of the same year.
