Plagiomnium affine (syn. Mnium affine ) is a common in Central Europe moss from the family of Mniaceae.

Plagiomnium affine is a moss, which can be up to 10 cm tall. It grows prostrate or ascending. Its stems, however, are often down curved. P. affine is foliated flattened. Its rounded leaves are ovate and serrated or toothed clearly on the edge. The midrib ends just below or at the blade tip. The large, up to 1 mm long, hexagonal lamina cells are about 1.5 to 2 times longer than wide and always (often indistinct ) spotted. The fertile plants are leafy schopfig and form one to three Sporogone from growing out of the same leaf rosette.

Dissemination

Plagiomnium affine is a common moss. It prefers moist, usually nutrient-rich forest soils. It grows in shady places in the forest, but also occurs on roadsides, on übererdeten rocks or in embankments before. Its distribution is mainly in the cool - temperate locations in Europe and Asia. In America it is missing.
