Plaisir d' amour is a well-known French song from the 18th century. The text is by Jean -Pierre Claris de Florian ( Nouvelle Célestine in the poetry collection Nouvelles nouvelles ), the melody of Jean Paul Egide Martini, who called himself a young age Johann Paul Aegidius Schwarzendorf.
History and content

The Japanese Keiko Abe processed the melody to pieces Marimba d' amore ( 11 min) and 2002 Piacer d' amor ( 6 min ) for marimba.
Well-known performers of the song were: Yvonne Printemps (1931 ), Tino Rossi ( 1955), Judith Durham of the Seekers ( 1963), Joan Baez (1968), Nana Mouskouri (1997 ), Brigitte Bardot, Barbara Hendricks, Andrea Bocelli, Mireille Mathieu, Peter Alexander, Ivan Rebroff and Eddy Mitchell. The song is an anchor point of the appearances of the world's best a cappella vocal ensemble, the King's Singers from England.
Can not Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley, among others gecovert of UB40, based on the melody of the song.
