Plateau's laws

Plateaus rules describe the structure of soap bubbles in foam. These rules were compiled on the basis of his experimental observations in the nineteenth century by the Belgian physicist Joseph Plateau.

Plateaus rules state:

Arrangements of bubbles, which do not correspond to the plateaus rules are unstable. The foam tends to transform itself in order to comply with the rules.
