Plato is a municipality in northwestern Texas County in the U.S. state of Missouri. Plato is located about 30 kilometers north of Houston and 15 miles south of Fort Leonard Wood. The census of 2010 revealed that this year, 109 people lived there. The church was founded in 1874 and was named after the ancient Greek philosopher. Plato is the birthplace of screenwriter Josh Senter, who became famous by the television series Desperate Housewives. According to 2010 census, Plato was the population center of the United States of America.
