Playa de Las Teresitas

The Playa de Las Teresitas is a very popular tourist beach in the northeast of Tenerife north of the village of San Andrés. It consists of three parts: Tras la Arena, Los Moros and Las Teresas. In the original black sand of volcanic origin white sand was launched in 1973, which had been procured in the Sahara. An approximately 1000 m long breakwater to protect against erosion. To the south of the beach is the Atlantic Ocean, north of the Anaga mountains. On weekends, many locals from Santa Cruz de Tenerife are here.
