Playfish

The Playfish Ltd.. was a British subsidiary of Electronic Arts, the free games for social networks like Facebook and MySpace ( social games ) ready set.

Description

The company, which was founded in 2007, was a long time the largest providers of 150 million installed games and 60 million active users a month. Among the most successful titles of the company include the Facebook games Pet Society, Restaurant City and Country Story. In November 2009 Playfish was acquired by Electronic Arts for at least 275 million U.S. dollars.

In April 2013, the setting of all remaining Playfish games was announced because of the declining interest and bundled all the activities in the EA subsidiary PopCap Games.
