The Pleasant Valley Township is one of 13 townships in Scott County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Iowa and part of the metropolitan Quad Cities.

Geography

The Pleasant Valley Township is located on the Mississippi River, which forms the border between Iowa and Illinois. The Township covers 72.9 square kilometers, spread over 67.9 km ² land and 5.0 km ² water surface. In Scott County, the Le Claire Township adjacent to the northeast and the Lincoln Township in the north and the city of Davenport belonging to no one township in the west. In the south and in the southeast the Pleasant Valley Township is adjacent to the Mississippi River, which forms the border to rock Iceland County in Illinois.

In the census of 2010, the Township had 34 936 inhabitants.
