Plomin Power Station

The power plant Plomin (Croatian: Termoelektrana Plomin, short TE Plomin ) is a 1970 put into use thermal power plant near the village Plomin (municipality Kršan, Istria County, Croatia). It is fired with coal. In addition to the block 1, which produces 120 MW, the block was 2 taken with another 210 MW in operation in 2000. The power plant has a 340 -meter-high chimney, which is the tallest structure in Croatia. Block 1 is operated by Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP ), Block 2 each hold 50% of the TE Plomin doo, at the HEP and the German company RWE.
