Plouharnel

Plouharnel is a commune with 2092 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It lies in the north of the bay of Quiberon, three kilometers from Carnac. Vannes, the seat of the prefecture, is located 40 km east scarce. In Plouharnel is the largest dune area of France.

On the territory of the municipality there are numerous menhirs, dolmens and other evidence from the Neolithic period, as are common in Brittany.
