PlusCity

The Plus City is a shopping center in Traun in Upper Austria. It is located southwest of Linz on the famous shopping street, as Kremstalstraße ( B139 ) and was opened on 19 October 1989.

With a sales area of about 70,000 m², the Plus City is the largest shopping center in Upper Austria and the fourth- largest in Austria, according to the SCS Shopping City Seiersberg center and the Danube. The Plus City is home to a total of 200 establishments and 2,100 employees work offers. There are 4,200 parking spaces available. The customer frequency is an average of 20,000 people per day.

The shopping center emerged from the Plus Kaufland, one belonging to the Pfeiffer group department store. In several phases of construction was a shopping center from the department store. The original plus purchase land on the ground floor has now been taken over by saving and converted into an inter savings market.

The shopping part is connected by a road junction on the first floor with the Cinema Hollywood Megaplex.

Criticism

In addition to the purchasing power outflow from the center of Linz, especially the amount of traffic caused by the high concentration of commercial establishments along the Kremstalstraße is criticized.

A particularly feared by residents of the immediately adjacent settlements further expansion is lack of free space, at least not currently possible.
