Plutarch of Eretria

Plutarch (Greek Πλούταρχος ) was a Greek tyrant of BC in the city of Eretria in Euboea reigned in the 4th century.

Plutarch reigned in Eretria to Themison of Eretria, without being fully assured that, if he or whether it was related to this kinship its immediate successor. In the year 354 BC Plutarch got into an altercation with Callias of Chalcis for supremacy on the island of Euboea. Here Plutarch used the contacts of his pro- Athenian friend Meidias to close an alliance with Athens against Chalcis, which in turn allied with King Philip II of Macedonia.
