Pınarhisar

Pınarhisar ( Bulgarian Бунархисар / Bunarhisar ) is the name of a district town and a district in the Turkish province of Kırklareli in Eastern Thrace. Pınarhisar has 10,463 and the county of 19,582 inhabitants ( 2010). Pınarhisar is centrally located in the province.

Pinarhisar was a Bulgarian town until the Second Balkan War in 1913, when the Bulgarian population was expelled in trains the reconquest Ostthrakiens by the Turks (→ Thracian Bulgarians ). 150 displaced families settled in what is now Achtopol, 100 in Ajtos, 57 in Banewo, 23 in Wesselie and other places established in Bulgaria.
