Poale Zion

Poale Zion or Tzion Poale ( "Workers of Zion " ) were Marxist- Zionist Jewish workers circles, which were founded around the turn of the century in various Russian cities after the General Jewish Workers' Union had set himself in 1901 against Zionism. Later, the United States (1903 ) followed; Israel, Poland, Austria, Canada, England, Argentina, Romania (1904-1907) and Bulgaria in 1910. Poale Zion also founded organizations such as Hashomer and was instrumental in the First World War on the recruitment of members of the Jewish Legion.
