Features

The Spanish wall lizard reaches a total length of 18 to 20 centimeters. It is a typical slim wall lizard with a brownish color and a pointed snout.

Distribution and habitat

The lizard lives in the Iberian Peninsula, in northwest Africa and in the extreme southwest of France in the Languedoc- Roussillon, there only directly in the coastal region of the Mediterranean. They settled mostly dry, rocky, sparsely vegetated habitats only, and tree trunks. It occurs up to an altitude of 1800 meters and dares in the vicinity of human settlements.
