Podgórki, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Podgórki ( German low Hartmann village ) is a town in the municipality Świerzawa, powiat Złotoryjski, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. It is in Kaczawskie Mountains on the edge of the Jelenia Góra Valley in the Western Sudetes on the road 365 Province of Jelenia Góra by Jawor.

History

In the 16th century it belonged to Deep Hartmann village (as it was then written ) the brothers George and Heinz von Elbel, pawned it to John of Zedlitz and Balzer Reder. The latter sold his share on 25 August 1597 Bernard of Zedlitz. Deep Hartmann village was one of the oldest possession of been established in Silesia Lords of Zedlitz. At low Hartmann village also included a marble quarry and lime kilns and numerous mills.

The village had loud Pierers lexicon of 1863 about 1,300 inhabitants; In 1939 there were 1,083. Castle

The first lock in low Hartmann village was built in 1728 by Carl Gottlieb von Zedlitz.

The Lords of Zedlitz and Neukirch were until 1874, owners of low Hartmann village.
