Podoctidae
Lomanius is a genus that occurs in the Philippines.
Podoctidae are a family of harvestmen ( Opiliones ) of spiders (Arachnida ).
Physique
Podoctidae are mostly medium-sized daddy longlegs with a body length of 2.5 to 5 millimeters. The legs are 3-30 mm long. Most species are yellow or brown, but some are also green. The legs of some species are yellow - black striped. Many have a thorn on the front body. The eyes are not always heaped on a hill. Some species are very prickly. The penises are hidden in a characteristic for the family trunk in which the glans is protected.
Dissemination
Most species occur in Southeast Asia and on the islands in the western Pacific; many species have been detected in New Guinea. The family can also be found on islands in the Indian Ocean and in Central Africa. Although it is missing in America, a kind also occurs in Cuba: This species was probably introduced from Asia and also lives there only in a botanical garden.
System
The following scheme can only be considered as provisional, since presumably many species will turn out to be untenable, and they must be divided into more families.
