Podole Małe

Podilli Małe ( German Klein Podel ) is a village in the powiat Słupski ( Stolp ) of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Podilli Małe located in Pomerania, about 22 kilometers southeast of the city of Slupsk ( Stolp ) and 26 kilometers north- west of the city Bytów ( Buetow ). The nearest neighbor village is about 1.5 km further west, Kirchdorf Dobieszewo ( United Dübsow ).

History

One half of the good small Podel and the corresponding half of the goods Daber was a fief of the Zitzewitz family; later, in the 18th century, they were fiefs of Miltitz family. The other half of the estate was a Zitzewitzsches fief during the 18th century. As the first owners of small Podel named Zitzewitz Mathias von Zitzewitz will be given in 1405.

Around 1784 had small Podel two outworks, three Kossäten, three Büdner, a blacksmith, a schoolmaster and on the field mark of the village three cottages, one of which, called Marzkaten to Budow was the parish, and a total of 14 households. In 1864 the family Zitzewitz is called the owner of the fief small Podel B. After several changes in ownership, there was the Gut Klein Podel 1931 owned by Deutsche settlement company GmbH; It was settled then.

In 1925 were in small Podel 37 residential buildings. 1939 counted 114 households and 430 inhabitants, and there were 82 farms, an inn, a general store, a distillery and several craft shops.

Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Klein Podel Stolp in Pomerania Region of Pomerania. The municipal area was 1,390 acres in size. In the district, there were a total of four small Podel Locations:

  • Sorkow
  • Vorwerk Daber

Towards the end of the Second World War, the villagers of small Podel went on 8 March 1945, the approaching Red Army in the horse-drawn wagon trek to escape. Residents, which was not a wagon available, covered with military units of the Armed Forces in the direction of Gdynia. The trek took on congested roads on Malzkow, Lupow, Grumbkow and Darsin, where he was run over by Soviet troops. The horses were unharnessed and confiscated, and the villagers had to return on foot. On March 8 small Podel was occupied by Soviet troops. Then a Soviet commandant was opened in the village. Several villagers were abducted by the army and did not return. After the war was small Podel part of Poland. On September 1, 1945 Poland arrived, which also einrichteten a commander in the village. Poland took over the houses and farmsteads. Small Podel was renamed Podilli Małe. The German villagers have been displaced. The first transport was on November 6, 1946, the second on 2 January 1947, the third in July 1947.

234 and in the GDR 183 villagers were later determined from small Podel in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The village has about 260 inhabitants.

School

Small Podel got its own school on October 1, 1932.

Church

The population before 1945 in small Podel present was a Protestant denomination. In 1925, Klein Podel had a resident Catholic religion. Small Podel belonged to the parish of Great Dübsow and thus to the church Stolp -Altstadt.
