Podole Wielkie

Podilli Wielkie ( German United Podel ) is a village in the powiat Słupski ( Stolp ) of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Padole Wielkie located in Pomerania, about 16 km west- northwest of the city Lębork ( Lauenburg in Pomerania ), 15 kilometers south of the Lebasees on the Baltic Sea and two kilometers northeast of the village Stowięcino ( Stojentin ).

History

The manor was a fief of the United Gohren Stojentin family in 1519. 1590 there were 21 farms in the village, one of which was uncultivated, and eight Kossäten. The knight's seat was held by Ewald East. Under him were 15 farmers and three Kossäten. Around 1784, the village was owned by Dietrich Freiherr von Puttkamer. At this time there was a Vorwerk, eight pawns, one Kossäten, a blacksmith, a schoolmaster, on the field Mark the two outworks Mukry and Ulrich field, a sheep, various Büdner, a water mill and a total of 45 households. In 1820, the estate was converted into a Allodialgut ( freehold ). 1841 acquired Philipp of Brunswick United Podel for 113,000 dollars and was on Mr. Sorchow, United Podel and Wollin. The estate was then in the possession of his heirs. 1925 were in the village of 52 residential buildings.

Before 1945, the village of Great Podel was the main residence of the District Stojentin associated community Groß Podel district Stolp, administrative region of Pomerania, Pomerania. In the municipality there were ten of Places:

The municipal area was 1,823 acres in size. 1939 counted a total of 91 households and 402 inhabitants.

Towards the end of World War II United Podel was occupied on March 9, 1945 by the Red Army and soon found it under Polish administration and renamed Podilli Wielkie. The villagers were gradually expelled, including a transport from 1 September 1947.

After the war, 160 displaced from Great Podel villagers were determined in the Federal Republic of Germany and 154 in East Germany.

In 2008 the village had 260 inhabitants.
