Point Loma High School#Leap of Faith

The Leap of faith (English, like: " Leap of Faith " ) was considered the tallest and heaviest Gap in the world. It was located in the Point Loma High School ( 2335 Chatsworth San Diego CA). We jumped it over a stair railing about 6 meters ( 18 ft, 8 ') in depth (corresponding to 27 steps). The staircase was remodeled in 2002 to avoid further accidents.

So far is the Leap of Faith only a single skateboarder, Jamie Thomas, have survived without fractures (seen on the first Zero skateboard video " Thrill Of It All " by 1997). The success of his jump is however evaluated differently: Thomas ' skateboard broke on landing, which is why some view the jump as unsuccessful.
