Pointe du Lac (Paris Métro)

Pointe du Lac is an aboveground Metro station. It is located south-east of Paris, in the suburb of Creteil.

On 20 September 2006, the STIF the Métro line 8 decided to extend to Pointe du Lac. Preparatory work began on 5 March 2007.

A Überwerfungsbauwerk on the highway Voie rapide 1 in Créteil had to be built. This is 80 m long and 8.20 m wide and cost 83 million euros ..

The station was put into operation on 8 October 2011 and has since become the new eastern terminus of the Metro line 8 It is located 1.3 kilometers south of the old terminus Créteil - Préfecture. The station serves the Stade Dominique Duvauchelle - the football club U.S. Créteil and the central business district Europarc. At the same time a new bus line was created that connects the stations Sucy- Bonneuil (RER A) in Sucy -en- Brie and Créteil- Pompadour (RER D).
