The Gonczy Polski is one of the FCI (Provisional No. 354, Gr. 6, sec 1.2) recognized breed from Poland

The Gonczy Polski heard how his relative the Ogar Polski to the running dogs or Bracken. In shape to it is up to 59 cm smaller and lighter. The coat is short and close, in many colors from black to reddish brown with fire. The head has a distinct stop. The recognized at the level of the eyes droopy ears are medium to large in size with rounded tips. The tail reaches to just above the ankle and is supported in excitement sabrelike horizontally above the topline.
