Polog Statistical Region

The Polog region ( Macedonian Poloski region Полошки регион; Albanian Rajoni Pollog ) is one of the eight statistical regions in the Republic of Macedonia; the highest administrative level. The management unit is further divided into nine Opštini, which represent the last administrative level. The region is in the northwest of the country, bordering Kosovo and Albania. Neighboring regions to the east that of Skopje and in the south that of the Southwest.

Regions meet in Macedonia no administrative tasks, but are only for statistical purposes since. However, Some of them are based on historical regions that are economically and culturally linked and were.
