Koran Angelfish ( Pomacanthus semicirculatus )

The Koran Angelfish ( Pomacanthus semicirculatus ) is a species of the genus Pomacanthus from the family of angelfish ( Pomacanthidae ).

Appearance

Koran angelfish are up to 40 centimeters long. Their body color is greenish brown. Blue stripes and dots cover the entire body.

Young Koran angelfish are dark blue with light blue and white stripes on the body.

Dissemination

Koran angelfish live in the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean from the coast of South and East Africa and the Western Pacific to Okinawa and the New Caledonia. They usually occur at depths of less than 25 meters. They prefer coral- rich regions with many hiding places.
