The University Pompeu Fabra (Catalan: Universitat Pompeu Fabra ) is a university in the city of Barcelona in Catalonia (Spain). It was founded in 1990 and is named after the Catalan philologist Pompeu Fabra.

One of the professors at the University Pompeu Fabra include the economists Andreu Mas - Colell, Antonio Ciccone, Xavier Freixas, Jordi Galí, Rosemarie Nagel, Jaume Ventura and Hans -Joachim Voth, and the sociologist Gøsta Esping -Andersen.
