Ponciano Leiva

General Ponciano Leiva (* 1821, † 1896) was dated 13 January 1874 to 8 June 1876, of 30 November 1891 to August 7, 1893 to the President of Honduras.

First term

On November 1, 1873 met Justo Rufino Barrios Auyón from Guatemala and Santiago González Portillo of El Salvador on Volcán Chingo and agreed a Tratado de Chingo with which they arranged the installation of Ponciano Leiva as new president in Honduras.
