Pont Alexandre III

The Pont Alexandre III is a built in neo-baroque style bridge over the Seine in Paris. The 115 m long bridge is reminiscent of the 1894 French-Russian alliance sealed. It bears the name of Tsar Alexander III (1845-1894), who proposed the contract. The construction began in 1897, the building was completed in time for the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900. It connects the Invalides on the left bank of the Seine with the Grand and Petit Palais on the right bank of the Seine. The builder is Jean Résal.

To 17 m high column located at the two ends of the bridge with Pegasos performing sculptures.
