Pont Grand (Tournon-sur-Rhône)

The Grand Pont ( German: Great Bridge ) is a single-arched stone bridge and is in the south of France.

Location

The Pont Grand spanning the Doux river 4 km west of Tournon -sur -Rhône in the southern French region of Rhône- Alpes, Ardèche.

Design and data

The Pont Grand has a wingspan of 49.20 m. The height of the rising toward the middle single lancet bridge reached the apex of 17.73 m.

History of the building

The bridge was built in the years 1379-1583. The Pont Grand was recorded as a monument historique in the State heritage protection list in France on October 3, 1954.
