Pope Benedict XVI and Islam
The Open Letter of Islamic scholars to Pope Benedict XVI on 25 September 2006, signed by 38 Islamic clerics. The open letter refers to a lecture given by Pope Benedict XVI. held on 12 September 2006 at the University of Regensburg ( see main article: Pope Quote of Regensburg ). In the introduction of the letter write its authors, that they want to keep several statements of the head of the Roman Catholic Church in this lecture is wrong and correct it.
