Popular Front for Change and Liberation

The Popular Front for Change and Freedom (al- Dschabha ash- Scha'bia li t- Taghyir wa t -Tahrir ) is an alliance of Syrian political parties, and is currently the leading political opposition in the Syrian Parliament ( People's Council ).

The Popular Front formed in August 2011 for change and freedom brought the party to the people's will by Qadri Jamil, along the Syrian Social Nationalist Party ( SSNP ) by Ali Haidar and other parties. The Alliance sees itself as a "bridge between the government and road " and is considered relatively close to the government. Although it criticizes the actions of the Assad government clearly, on the other hand, it defends the state and its institutions and rejects a violent overthrow. The measures announced by the President in December 2011 reforms and the new constitution welcomed.

The Alliance received in the parliamentary elections in 2012 a total of five seats in the Syrian People's Council, of which 4 for the SSNP and one for the party of the people's will. The leader of the Alliance Qadri Jamil said that there were several violations of the electoral law was in choosing to favor the opponents of the Popular Front, the ruling National Progressive Front.
