Porsch village is a district of the Saxon town of Bad Schandau in Saxon Switzerland County - Eastern Ore Mountains.

Geography

The place of the union of Polenz and Sebnitz salmon stream just before its confluence with the Elbe is located at 130 m above sea level. NN. For the district, including the famous stone lilies, one of the most impressive rock formations of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. On the rock massif located below the flatness is the cover of an avenue of poplars "Imperial Road", which was built by Napoleon I in 1813. Porsch village has up to 90 m in height difference within the populated area. Far from the village was the Frinztalmühle.

The municipality Porsch village belonged to the districts Porsch village, Walter Village, Neuporschdorf and sprouting.

History

Porsch village is called in the records in 1443 and Borsdorff Borestorff, 1465 and 1534 Borißdorf Porrßdorf. His name can be used as a village Slavs Bores or Boras, explain a short form of Borislav. In the first period of existence Porsch village belonged to the Berken of the Dubé on Hohenstein and later fell together with this place at the House of Wettin.

The Protestant church, from the massive locally available sandstone was built in 1905 /06. 2009 was one of the place Porsch 426 village inhabitants ( 1999: 496 inhabitants).
