Porte d'Orléans (Paris Métro)

Porte d' Orléans is an underground station of Line 4 of the Paris Métro. It is located in the 14th arrondissement below the Avenue du General Leclerc and the Place du 25 Août 1944. She was since its opening in early 2013 the southernmost terminus of line 4

At the above-ground station is the transit traffic since the opening line 3a of the Paris tram in 2006.

The station was taken on October 30, 1909, when the southern section of the line was opened 4 of Raspail and Porte d' Orléans. In contrast to the then usual Parisian design of the three-track station was built in an open pit and received, instead of a brick vault, a ceiling structure made of metal beams.

The extension of Line 4 of the Porte d'Orléans to Mairie de Montrouge was put into operation on 23 March 2013. In this context, the tracks have been changed slightly: the turning loop was interrupted and only serves as a siding. The platform in the direction Paris has only one track. The second track was abandoned. There, an elevator was installed to the street level.
