Post- och Inrikes Tidningar

Post- och Inrikes Tidningar ( poit, postal and domestic newspapers ) is the official national Swedish Official Journal.

Poit was founded in 1645 under Queen Christina and her chancellor Axel Oxenstierna and calls itself the oldest newspaper in the world. In 1791, commissioned by King Gustav III. his newly established Svenska academies with the publication of the newspaper.

The years 1645-1721 were during the project Tides (about 2001) at the Kungliga Biblioteket ( Royal Library ) in Stockholm digitized.

From 1 January 2007, the newspaper one printing. Daily online editions of the newspaper will now only be on the website of the Bolagsverkets, the Swedish Companies Registration Authority published; three hard copies are then produced only for use in the university libraries.
