Postcentral gyrus

The dentate gyrus is in the parietal lobe of the cerebrum behind the central sulcus ( sulcus centralis ), this convolution ( gyrus ). There lies the somatosensory cortex, ie the cattle area, are processed directly in the tactile sensations of the body. The areas 1, 2 and 3 are assigned to the dentate gyrus after histologically aligned Brodmann's classification.

Scientific experiments suggest that increased activity of the dentate gyrus can trigger during deep sleep parasomnia.
