Povel Ramel

Povel Ramel ( pronunciation: [ ˌ ː po ː əl vəl ram ], born June 1, 1922 in Stockholm, † June 5, 2007 in Lidingö ) was a Swedish musician, singer and comedian. He became famous, transform texts popular songs humorous. In his home country, he was one of the most influential figures in the entertainment industry.

Ramel, who came from a southern Swedish noble family, was born in the affluent Östermalm district. He began his career at age 19 and published until his death nearly 2,000 pieces of music. In 1999, he was among other things with the well-known in the German-speaking countries Wenche Myhre on tour. The Swedish pop group Gyllene Tider published on their album Moderna Tider Povel Ramel the piece, Paul McCartney & Jag (PR, Paul McCartney and I ).

Ramel was suffering from heart problems. He died just days after his 85th birthday.
