Praia do Guincho

Praia do Guincho is a beach in a circle ( concelho ) Cascais, Portugal.

It is located on the beach road between Cascais and Sintra. The dune beach is due to the prevailing strong winds a popular surf spot with surfers, and is therefore always the venue of various international competitions. The strong prevailing currents do not allow for extended bathing here, while the position of the beach offers often photographed sunsets. Also kite surfing is operated here.

The beach, the 1969 location of the input sequence of the film James Bond 007 - was Her Majesty's Secret is part of the Natural Park Sintra -Cascais. As a frequent filming location of the popular Portuguese television series Morangos com Açúcar his fame grew in Portugal on, and he is a regular attraction of the revelers from the nearby Lisbon, finish off the night in the beach bars here, or spend the evening with occasional events, chill- Out or beach parties.

Just across the road to the beach is separated from the dune of Cresmina. By the dune leads a circular route on boardwalks.
