Pranas Vilkas

Pranas Vilkas ( born April 17, 1936 in Gaižiūnai, volost Jonava ) is a Lithuanian engineer and politician.

Life

From 1942 to 1946 he taught in elementary school Skaruliai at Jonava and after graduating from high school in 1954 at the middle school Jonava he graduated from 1954 to 1959 the diploma in mechanics at Kauno politechnikos institutas. From 1960 to 1961 he taught at Vilniaus Pedagoginis institutas. From 1962 to 1991 he worked at the Research Institute " Precizika " as chief engineer and deputy director. From 1991 to 2000 he was Director General of JSC " Brown and Sharpe Precizika " from 2000 to 2008 Member of the Seimas.

From 1973 he was a member of the CPSU from 2000 to 2002 by Lietuvos liberalų sąjunga, from 2003, the Liberalų demokratų partija and since 2004 the Darbo partija.

He is married. With wife Regina, he that hath the Son Gintautas.
