Preakness Stakes

The Preakness Stakes is a horse race that takes place in 1873 at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore (Maryland). It is the second race of the Triple Crown. Eligible are only 3 -year-old thoroughbreds, the race is run on the distance 1-3/16 miles (about 1,910 meters) and is held on the third Saturday in May.
