Premillennialism

Premillenarianism or premillennialism is a Christian eschatological doctrine of a future millennial reign of Christ on earth runs out ( millenarianism ), often with Israel as a politically and religiously dominant world power. The prefix pre (Latin: before ) states that Jesus Christ will come on the earth in the millennial kingdom.

Representative

The premillenarianism is based on a literal interpretation of the Book of Revelation and is particularly prevalent in fundamentalist or evangelical groups. He is represented by free churches or special communities such as:

  • Baptists
  • Bible Student movement
  • Brethren
  • Pentecostal
  • Seventh- day Adventists
  • New Apostolic Church

The premillenarianism is from Postmillenarismus (post: lat after ) demarcate the assumption that the millennium now - since the first coming of Christ - and is the justice in the present church age will prevail. As the Amillenarismus, who regards the Millennium purely spiritual, the promises to the people of Israel are doing in the community based (substitution theology ) and passages which speak of the kingdom must be allegorized.

Schools of Thought

Dallas - theology professor Charles C. Ryrie distinguishes between different schools of thought. Those who do not understand the Bible literally, be non- Prämillenarist. Who 'll take the Bible literally, but not consistently (about when it comes to prophecy ), which was a covenant theology - Prämillenarist ( covenant premillennialist ) and progressive dispensationalist. Who 'll take throughout the Bible literally, as Ryrie, was a dispensationalist.

Biblical justification

Proponents of millenarianism rely primarily on Revelation 20.1 to 10 EU. It is described that Satan is bound for a thousand years and that during this time, among other things Martyrs reign of Christ with Jesus Christ. Then Satan is released, seduces the nations of the earth and will ultimately tortured in the lake of fire.

During the millennial kingdom will be, so the view of the premillenarianism, the Old Testament promises to Israel to meet (including new covenant with Israel (Jer. 31:31-34 EU ), Israel as a national United States ( Dan 2.44 EU), missionary work among the peoples (Mt 28:19-20 EU; Dan 7.27 EU), and temple service ( Ez 40-46 EU, Acts 3:19-21 EU), reign of the Messiah (Zech. 8.3 EU) ). Of these earthly promises to Israel the heavenly promises are to be distinguished on the community.

Regarding the rapture, there are three variants within the premillenarianism. ( 1 Cor 15:51-52 EU 1 Thess 4,17 EU) and then come to Christ before the Millennium to earth with those in the tribulation period is a widely held view that the church is raptured before the great tribulation to rule for faith -down and the Jews in the tribulation martyrs who lost their lives on earth. Others argue that the church in the midst of the great tribulation period (after 3 ½ years; cf. Rev 11,2.3.15 EU; Rev. 12.6 EU) or at the end of the Tribulation would be raptured. The time interval between the rapture and the second coming to reign in the Millennial Kingdom is therefore lower than in the above view.

In this millennium boom see a period of time to get the promised eternal life or aeonic very close; the come through the fall of the human race Adamic curse would be lifted ( to the death ) during the Millennium.
