Press Trust of India ( PTI) is the oldest and largest Indian news agency. She is in ownership of Indian newspapers. Among the connected media include about 450 newspapers in India and many abroad as well as all major Indian and several foreign television stations (including the BBC in London). The news service is available in English and Hindi.

PTI was founded in 1947 out of the 1910 Associated Press of India, which was owned by Reuters in 1919, 1949, and began their independent work. Since 1953, she was completely independent of Reuters. Since the 1980s, the company offers its services in the U.S. and the UK and since 1999 it has been present on the Internet.
