Primondo was the holding company for all shipping trademarks of insolvent Arcandor AG (formerly Karstadt Quelle AG ) since 1 March 2007.

Primondo understood itself as a holding company, which does not occur as a brand at the end customer. Rather, primondo saw as a house of brands ( House of Brands ) from Universal and special shipping. Well-known examples are source, Hess Natur, Bogner home shopping or baby rolling. Since June 2007, the shopping channel HSE24 belonged to primondo group. For primondo approximately 20,000 employees worked in 28 countries.

History

On 9 June 2009 the primondo GmbH has applied for insolvency proceedings at the district court in Essen.

Divisions

In the area of ​​universal mail the mail order companies internationally active source was located. The source group generated in the financial year 2007/2008 with its 17 foreign companies, the field of photo source Profectis and SB wholesale an annual turnover amounting to 2.9 billion euros. In total, around 8,000 people were employed at Universal Shipping.
