Prince-Bishops' Castle (Delémont)

The Delémont Castle is the former summer residence of the prince-bishops of Basel. It is located on the southwest corner of the old town of Del's mountain, the capital of the canton of Jura.

The present building stands on the site of a medieval castle. At the beginning of the 18th century commissioned the Prince-Bishop of Basel, Johann Konrad von Reinach - Hirtzbach, the architects Pierre Racine from Renan with the construction of a grand summer residence.

Some parts of the building are now used as a nursery and primary school.

The castle is a heritage of national importance.
