Prince Jean, Duke of Vendôme

Jean Charles Pierre Marie d' Orléans ( born May 19, 1965 in Boulogne- Billancourt ) is a son of Henri Philippe Pierre Marie d' Orléans ( b. 1933 ), the current head of the House of Orléans, who as Henri VII ( Henry VII ) is the pretender to the French throne. The mother of Jean Charles is the divorced since 1984, first wife of Henri, Marie Therese of Württemberg.

The private legal title of Duke of Vendôme bears Jean Charles since 27 September 1987 to the Dauphin of Viennois since 19 June 1999. 2006 he was appointed by his family to the Dauphin of France, which his older brother, François Henri Louis Marie d' Orléans was taken out of the succession, because he and his younger sister, Blanche, are mentally retarded.

Jean d' Orléans studied philosophy and law, including in California. He works in France in the banking sector. He wanted to get married in 2001 Tatjana of Oldenburg ( b. 1974 ). The wedding was canceled at the last minute because his father was afraid that the marriage with a Protestant could weaken future claims throne of his son. In March 2009, Jean d' Orléans Philomena de Tornos married. Together with her, he has a son, Gaston (* 2009). As a French king, he was wearing the name of Jean IV ( John IV ).
