Princess Ai
Princess Ai (Japaneseプリンセス·アイ 物語, Ai Monogatari Purinsesu ) is a completed manga series of Japanese illustrator Misaho Kujiradō. The figures created Ai Yazawa written (including Nana ), which occur in the manga Lyrics Courtney Love and DJ Milky.
Action
The Girl Ai can be found one day alone and lost in the streets of Tokyo again, with nothing but a mysterious heart box and tiny memories of their homeland. When her someone wants to steal the precious heart box, she gets to know Kent, who takes her to the library of the University of Shinjuku, where he works. When they look at the books there, she finds a book in which is depicted the Crest of the Ai- country their home.
When she walks around aimlessly in Tokyo again, offered her a stranger sushi and believes she would be a prostitute. It goes on and encounters the street musicians Fa'an. Inspired by his music, it even begins to sing and reaps praise from passers-by. The manager of a strip club, she discovers and gives her work as a hostess and singer. There, she has, among other problems with the "Upper hostess " Mika, who is jealous, as a customer, Takeshi, Ai preferred. After a concert at Club Ai goes to Kent, who was forced by one of the three Furies sisters of Ai- land called Tess, to betray Ais whereabouts. Ai leaves Kent, so as not to put him in danger, and met Fa'an who gives her the key to her heart box. In the box she finds a locket with her name.
Ai goes back to the club, working late into the night and rented a hotel room. The following morning, finds and pursues Tess. Although Ai receives support from Kent, Tess can not escape anyway. Suddenly grow their wings that help her to escape. Takeshi, Talent Scout organization HTA, their promises to protect her, if she works for the organization. To mainly Kent and to protect themselves, they signed a record deal with HTA and is famous as a rock diva. Hayabusa, the head of H.T.A. ( Hayabusa Talent Agency ) and allegedly has ties to the Yakuza, tells Takeshi to let Ai record as many songs and videos as possible and then kill them during a live concert.
Publications
In Japan, the manga was published in separate chapters in the manga magazine Wings, in which, among other things Liling -Po Ako Yutenji and RG Veda by Clamp published. The Shinshokan -Verlag moved this single chapter in the form of three anthologies, one of which was first published in July 2004.
The first volume of the series has also been released in the U.S. at Tokyopop in July 2004. The third and final volume was released in the U.S. in February 2006 in German in April 2006. In April 2007, the series was launched in a single German anthology as a Complete edition new. In addition, Princess Ai was translated into Danish, Finnish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Swedish translation.
In Germany the three volumes from November 2011 to April 2006 at Tokyopop continuation Princess Ai appeared in September 2008 - Rumors from the Other Side, and in July 2009 and September 2010 Princess Ai - The Prism of Midnight Dawn.
