Princess Amalie of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha

Princess Marie Luise Franziska Amalie of Saxe- Coburg and Gotha ( born October 23, 1848 in Coburg, † May 6, 1894 in Munich) was a German princess and by marriage Duchess in Bavaria.

Life

Amalie was the second daughter of five children of Prince August of Saxe- Coburg and Gotha and Princess Clementine d' Orléans.

The early 1870s, the marriage of Princess Amelia and the Bavarian Prince Leopold ( 1846-1930 ) was planned.
