Princess Eleonora Fugger von Babenhausen

Eleonora Maria Aloysia Princess Fugger of Babenhausen, born Princess of Hohenlohe- Bartenstein and Jagstberg ( born October 4, 1864 in Bartenstein, † March 1, 1945 in Vienna), also known as Princess Nora Fugger, was an Austrian aristocrat and Salonnière and was known for her autobiography and her observation of contemporary society.

Life

Princess Nora, as she was his life called, was the daughter of Prince Karl Ludwig Constantin Heinrich zu Hohenlohe- Bartenstein and Jagstberg and Princess Pink Karoline, née Countess von Sternberg.

On 8 January 1887 she married Carl Georg Ferdinand Jakob Maria Fürst Fugger of Babenhausen ( born March 15, 1861 in Klagenfurt, † July 5, 1925 ibid ) in Vienna, who was a chamberlain of the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I. at court.

Together they had six children:

  • Friederike Maria Carolina Henriette Rosa Sabina Franziska Pauline Countess Fugger of Babenhausen (27 October 1887-1949 ): Marriage 1908 Adrian Carton de Wiart.
  • George Constantin Heinrich Carl Friedrich Maria Fugger Babenhausen Prince (24 July 1889 - August 1, 1934 )

  • Leopold Karl Friedrich Heinrich Maria Graf Fugger of Babenhausen (July 18, 1893 - July 8, 1966 )
  • Maria Theresa Karoline Gigina Countess Fugger of Babenhausen (June 1, 1899 - June 18, 1994 ): Married Prince Hanau, Count of Schaumburg a descendant of Gertraud Lehmann.
  • Helene Eleonore Maria Aloysia Gräfin Fugger of Babenhausen (June 21, 1908-1915 )

After the death of Empress Elisabeth took Nora Fugger, together with Princess Pauline von Metternich, the role of the Grande Dame of Viennese society and wrote down their impressions and memoirs.
