Princess Luise Dorothea of Prussia

Luise Dorothea Sophie of Brandenburg ( born September 29, 1680 in Berlin, † December 23, 1705 in Kassel) was a princess and Margravine of Brandenburg and by marriage Hereditary Princess of Hesse- Kassel.

Life

Louise was later to become the only daughter of King Frederick I. (1657-1713) from his first marriage with Elisabeth Henriette (1661-1683), daughter of Count William VI. of Hesse- Kassel.

She married on 31 May 1700 in Berlin, her cousin, the Hereditary Prince Frederick of Hesse -Kassel ( 1676-1751 ). The wedding was celebrated with great effort over several weeks in Berlin, Oranienburg, Potsdam and Kassel.
