Xenija Georgievna was the youngest daughter of the Russian Grand Duke Georgy Mikhailovich Romanov (1863-1919) and his wife Princess Maria of Greece and Denmark (1876-1940), daughter of the Greek King George I and the Grand Duchess Olga Romanova Konstantinovna.
