Pripps#Beer

Pripps Blå is a Swedish beer, which was launched in 1959 and today belongs to the product range of the Carlsberg Group. It first bore the name " Pripps Export", as it comes with an alcohol content of up to 5.2% in Sweden as " strong beer " ( Sw: " high oil " ) applies, which could be produced until 1955 for export only. Only the vernacular gave the beer its present name, inspired by the typical blue label with the horizon line between sky and sea and the sailing ship that is to recall the origin of the shipping city of Gothenburg.

Pripps Blå is offered in variants with different alcohol contents: 2.2%, 2.8 %, 3.5 %, 5.0 % and 5.2 %. In Sweden, this beer is drunk most often in the light variation.

1990 Pripps Blå was 3.5 named at the Brewing Industry International Awards for world's best lager beer of its strength class.
