Priscilla Lawson

Priscilla Lawson ( born March 8, 1914 in Indianapolis, Indiana as Priscilla Shortridge; † August 27, 1958 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actress.

Life

Before Priscilla Lawson in 1935 won the title of Miss Miami Beach, she was modeling for some years very successfully. Soon after, Universal Pictures became aware of it and she gave shortly after her film debut. In 1936, she was already at the height of her career. She played Princess Aura in the sci-fi series Flash Gordon. After that, only followed by a few inconsequential films. In 1941, she retired into private life.

During World War II she served with her then-husband, actor Alan Curtis, in the Armed forces. There she is said to have lost her right leg. Other sources say they have lost the leg in a car accident.

Priscilla Lawson died at the age of 44 years to internal bleeding in the stomach / intestines. Her grave is located in the Oak Memorial Park in Los Angeles County, California.
